Shadow

I have a little shadow,
She keeps me company.
Sometimes when I do drugs,
She’ll be the one to overthink.

I have a little shadow,
She tells me what to eat.
I’ll be honest for a moment,
She tells me how to breath.

When the night comes along,
She prepares me for dark;
She’s my cover from the storm,
Storming in my heart.

I have a little shadow.
I made her or found her,
I can’t tell, but I have her.

When I was just thirteen,
In my bathroom getting clean,
From society’s disease,
My shadow protected me..

When I was just fourteen,
On a plane flying to another country,
She had me going,
Kept me flying, kept me from falling.

When the nights come along,
She prepares me for dark;
She’s my cover form the storm,
Storming in my heart.

I have a little shadow.
I made her or found her,
I can’t tell, but I have her.

Sometimes I wanna shun her,
I’d like to get her away,
To see if by myself I’d brave the day.
But she’s my little shadow,
I can ignore her all I like,
But she’s the only reason,
I make it through the night.
